The ladybird « Adalia bipunctata », the solution against aphids. Adalia bipunctata is a native ladybird. The larvae are used in ornamental, fruit and vegetable crops as beneficials for control of aphids (roses, ornamental plants, shrubs, fruit trees, salads,…) The larvae are more voracious than adults (they eat between 100 to 150 aphids per day) and compared to adults they do not fly. Adalia bipunctata can be used in combination with organic products and is safe for children, wildlife and pets; effective and safe to the environment. |
Be carreful not to introduce larvae before heavy rain period, neither during a too cold period: minimum 8 to 10 °C night temperature.
